Abstract
This study proposes an approach to model cruising speed heterogeneity among cyclists. The model let fast moving cyclists be slowed down by slower moving cyclists when there are no free lanes left in which to perform an overtaking. Initial tests on a toy network and Weibull-distributed desired cruising speeds show that the model behaves intuitively when the traffic flow is increased, even though large-scale experiments are still to be conducted.
