Abstract

Connected autonomous vehicles will be able to apply any arbitrary routing strategies, not only behavioural decisions of random utility maximisers but also collective ones given any objective. Such a route choice process will not fit into a well-established Wardropian paradigm of traffic assignment. To this end, we introduce a new Post-Wardropian framework to better model, understand, predict, and control fleet routing behaviour in future CAV cities.
